VIRGEN DE LAS VIÑAS

Founded in 1961, Virgen de las Viñas Bodega y Almazara is currently made up of about 3,000 members. It´s the largest winery in Europe with receiving and processing of own product. Grape comes exclusively from the 23,000 hectares of vineyards of their partners. Protected under the DO La Mancha, has varieties such as Airén, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, among others.

It has two production sites: Tomelloso (central) and Arenales de San Gregorio. Both located in Castilla-La Mancha, the region of the largest vineyard in the world.

The center covers an area of 170,000 m2. Annually significant investment in technological improvements is undertaken, in order to achieve the highest level of exigency and quality products. It has safety certifications IFS and BRC Food and environment ISO 14001.

The main brands sold are: Tomillar, Monte Rodrigo, Passion Brava, among others. Virgen de las Viñas also plays a decisive role in the national culture and the academic field. It has an ethnographic museum and a museum of contemporary art where it is saved the contemporary paintings and journalism from the annual international contest that the winery organizes.
